These valves offer a cost-effective alternative to those with bronze, cast iron, or cast steel bodies. The standard configuration features an equal percentage flow characteristic, metal-to-metal seating, spring-loaded Teflon V-ring stem packing, and a Pneumatic Actuator.
The actuator can be set up for either Air-to-Open (Normally Closed) or Air-to-Close (Normally Open) operation, with the flexibility to be reconfigured in the field if needed.
It's crucial to ensure that the valve's maximum close-off pressure exceeds the inlet pressure. This is necessary to ensure the valve assembly can overcome the forces generated by the fluid pressure within the valve body, allowing the valve to open and close fully and effectively.
