Forged Gate Valve

The forged gate valves supplied by Weldon are primarily designed for on-off services when linear flow and minimum limits of fluid are required. The wedge of the gate valve stops or allows flow through the gate valve and is like the opening or closing of the door. When the gate valve is opened, the closure is completely drawn into the valve leaving a complete opening for the flow. There is almost no pressure drop or flow restriction through the valve.

The forged gate valves provided by Weldon mainly follow the normative dimensions and pressure classes of the applicable specifications such as API 602 and ASME B16.34, the standard structure of body-bonnet connetcions are bolted bonnet or welded bonnet type, Flanged valves are provided with flanges integral with the body forgings, Standard gasket design for bolted-bonnet valves is spiral wound type up to ASME Class 1500 LB. Pressure seal bonnet are available for ASME Class 2500 LB and above.
