Application of Cemented Carbide Hardfacing Technology to Various Fields

Hardfacing is the process of hardening the surface of wear-resistant parts. In the production and processing of cemented carbide, hardfacing technology is often used. Cemented carbide hardfacing technology can protect hard alloy wear-resistant parts well, and at the same time prolong the service life of wear-resistant parts. Today, I will share with you the application of cemented carbide hardfacing technology to various fields.

1. The application of cemented carbide hardfacing technology in the oil drilling industry
A drill bit is a rock-breaking tool often used in the oil drilling industry, and its performance directly affects the drilling speed, drilling quality and drilling cost. Faced with the harsh environment in the oil drilling industry, drill bits are often easily corroded and broken, have poor impact resistance, and cannot meet the requirements of drilling conditions. Therefore, it is necessary to select spherical cemented carbide and diamond with good wear resistance as tooth surface strengthening materials, and use the surfacing process to complete the surface strengthening. The wear resistance and impact resistance of the drilling surface is improved by surfacing and welding particle cast cemented carbide on the surface of the drill.

2. The application of cemented carbide hardfacing technology in the steel industry
We know that the working environment of wear-resistant parts in steel plants is very harsh. The production process is carried out at extremely high temperatures, alternating hot and cold frequently, and the wear-resistant equipment used will accelerate wear, which will not only increase the maintenance cost of the steel plant, but also increase the labor intensity of the staff. Therefore, most iron and steel plants need to use cemented carbide hardfacing technology, that is, surfacing hard alloys on the surface of the scrapped rolls until the original surface size of the roller is piled up. This can not only reduce the production cost, but also shorten the recovery time, increasing the amount of steel by 8 to 10 times, which is very economical and reasonable. This can be applied to the surface of valves.

3. The application of cemented carbide hardfacing technology in power plants
China's thermal power generation is the main force. It can be said that thermal power generation is the leader in the domestic power industry, which is also inseparable from China's rich coal resources. Thermal power generation needs to burn a large amount of pulverized coal, and vertical mills are used to pulverize pulverized coal. However, the impact on the vertical mill is also very serious due to the influence of the quality of the coal. If it runs for a long time, groove-like wear will appear on the surface of the grinding roller, and relatively large annular grooves will also happen on the surface of the grinding disc, which will make the working efficiency of the coal mill lower and lower, thereby increasing the energy consumption. At this time, the cemented carbide hardfacing technology is used to surfacing the surface of the grinding roller and the grinding disc, so that a wear-resistant layer is formed on the surface of the wear-resistant parts, which has a good protective effect on the grinding roller and the grinding disc and can prolong its service life.
