Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve

Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve

Non-Rising Stem Gate Valves, also known as concealed stem gate valves, are designed for situations where there is limited space available for the valve stem to rise, such as in tight locations with underground piping. These valves are characterized by their stem, which does not extend above the handwheel or operator when the valve is opened or closed.

The operation of a Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve is straightforward. When the handwheel is turned to the right as far as it can go, the valve is fully opened, allowing fluid to flow through the pipeline unobstructed. Conversely, when the handwheel is turned to the left as far as possible, the valve is fully closed, effectively stopping the flow of fluid.
