The 2-way control valve with an Electric Actuator is a durable and user-friendly alternative to the pneumatically actuated unit. With its rapid response times and precise movements, this actuator is suitable for a wide range of applications, including steam-to-water heaters. It is especially ideal for installations where pneumatic lines are not available. The Electric Actuator features either Super Capacitors (EC) or Spring Return (ES), enabling the valve to fail in either the fully-open or fully-closed position in the event of power loss or signal failure.
Features:
• Fast Response: These actuators respond extremely quickly, fully opening or closing the HB Control Valve in approximately 6 seconds, making them ideal for instantaneous and semi-instantaneous water heaters. Typical signal response time is 2-3 seconds.
• Fail-Safe Mode: Super capacitors drive the valve fully closed or open in the event of power loss to the actuator, replacing common backups like springs with limited thrust or batteries with limited lifespans.
• High Stem Thrust: Ensures the close-off of all HB valve sizes against the full rating of 300 psig.
• Field-Configurable: Using a PC, the actuator can be field-configured for minimum closing position, maximum opening position, fail-open, fail-close, or stay-put failure modes in the event of power loss.
